Permeability md How much of a fluid of unit viscosity can flow through one unit length of rock under one unit applied pressure (hydraulic gradient). In short: how easy is it for a fluid to go through the rock. This definition can be taken to derive a unit in your favorite unit system (we use SI). Please note that Permeability is not the same as Porosity. The shape and connectivity of the pores have a big influence.
Plagioclase % Part Plagioclase.
Pore Pressure % PP. The pressure of the fluid in the pores. Compare Confined Pressure.
Porosity parts How big a part of the volume of the sample is fluid- or gas filled. However, definitions may vary for specific applications. For some usages, isolated pores may be considered part of the rock. Other complications arise regarding nonremovable fluid (oil/water) content. A porosity measure in the literature is meaningless without an exact definition what porosity we are talking about.
