A Brief Background of the Common Ground Project

This server has been set up with the idea in mind to provide for a free rock properties database that is interfaceable with the world wide web. The operating system as well as the software used is all free and may also be freely distributed. For more information on the common ground project, click here.

We are always looking for new, high quality data! If you own data that might fit into the database or know people who own data and might be willing to donate it, please write us!

There are not formal help files (yet). Help is provided directly from the respective pages and forms. Usually you can get help by clicking on the [?] symbol. We keep adding more as we go along...

Sometimes help will contain platform or browser specific instructions. Please adjust for your environment. We use a Unix/Netscape combination on the development machine but keep Windows in mind.
